Privacy Policy
Effective Date: January 1, 2026 • Last updated: September 18, 2026
At ZeniMoney (a ZenimizeLabs project), your privacy is our foundational principle. All financial calculations—including gross salary inputs, tax code modifications, pension contribution percentages, and student loan repayment choices—are executed strictly within your local web browser using JavaScript. We do not store, log, transmit, or process your personal financial figures on any server or remote database.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
When utilizing our interactive calculators (such as the UK Salary & Tax Calculator), we do not ask for, capture, or store any of the following:
- Your name, address, date of birth, or National Insurance number.
- Your bank account, credit card, or financial account credentials.
- Any salary, deduction, or pension figures entered into calculator forms.
2. Local Storage & Browser Preferences
To provide an optimal user experience across visits, ZeniMoney uses HTML5 local storage strictly for functional preferences:
zenimoney-theme: Stores your preference between Light Mode and Dark Mode so your preferred theme is maintained across sessions.
This technical data resides exclusively on your local device and is never synchronized to external servers.
3. Advertising & Third-Party Cookies (Google AdSense)
To keep our calculators 100% free for everyone, ZeniMoney may display advertisements served by third-party advertising vendors, including Google AdSense.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to ZeniMoney and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting AboutAds.info.
4. Server Log Files & Web Hosting
Like virtually all website infrastructure providers, our hosting network (Cloudflare Pages) automatically logs standard, non-personally identifiable technical connection metadata for security and performance diagnostics. This may include:
- Internet Protocol (IP) addresses (anonymized/aggregated for DDoS mitigation).
- Browser type, operating system version, and system language.
- Referring/exit URL paths and timestamps of asset requests.
These logs are used purely for infrastructure uptime, performance monitoring, and anti-abuse filtering, and are never linked to individual identity or financial data.
5. Your Rights Under UK GDPR & DPA 2018
Because we do not store, process, or maintain personal user accounts or databases containing personally identifiable information (PII), we do not possess individual records to inspect, modify, or delete. However, under UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and Data Protection Act 2018, you have statutory rights regarding any technical information processed:
- The right to be informed about how cookies and tracking technologies are utilized.
- The right to block or delete cookies through your web browser settings.
- The right to lodge an inquiry or complaint with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
